Commented WHITE WIZZARD bassist and founding member Jon Leon: “We are really excited to come back and do our first headline tour in the U.K. and Ireland. We’re excited to visit all the great places we played with edguy and to see the fans again, and to play some new places as well. Look forward to seeing you all there!”

WHITE WIZZARD recently revealed its new lineup. Joining founding member Jon Leon, guitarist Chad Bryan and drummer Giovanni Durst are newly recruited singer and former CELLADOR frontman Michael Gremio, along with new lead guitarist and Welsh native Lewis Stephens.
Wyatt Anderson and Erik Kluiber left the group after the band’s U.K. tour with EDGUY to pursue different paths.
A photo of the new lineup can be viewed below (left to right in photo: Giovanni Durst, Jon Leon, Michael Gremio, Chad Bryan, Lewis Stephens).
“Over The Top”, WHITE WIZZARD‘s full-length follow-up to the “High Speed GTO” mini-album, was released on February 8 in Europe and March 9 in the U.S. via Earache Records. The CD was recorded with producer Ralph Patlan (MEGADETH, UFO, MICHAEL SCHENKER) and contains “10 songs that will rip your head off,” according to bassist Jon Leon. The limited-edition CD version includes two bonus tracks of classic metal covers.
WHITE WIZZARD formed in 2007 and shortly afterwards recorded its “High Speed GTO” demo, which only made it into the hands of a few select fans. Following a brief period of inactivity, the demo fell into the hands of Earache Records and the “High Speed GTO” song was included on “Heavy Metal Killers”, a compilation featuring 13 tracks from the best new traditional-sounding heavy metal bands. Earache Records released the “High Speed GTO” tracks as a mini-album last summer.

THE AUTUMN OFFERING: New Album Teaser Available

A seven-minute trailer/teaser for THE AUTUMN OFFERING‘s new, self-titled album can be viewed below. Due on August 31 via Victory Records, the new CD is “the band’s most crushing release to date” and is “chock-full of blast beats and twin guitar wizardry” while “vocalist Matt McChesney sounds as if he is being burned at the stake,” according to a press release.
A song from the album, “Born Dead”, is available for streaming on THE AUTUMN OFFERING‘s MySpace page. The group just finished shooting a video for the track in Chicago with director Eric Richter.
McChesney and drummer Brian Sculley met while both were in the New England grind band CADAVERYNE. Tommy Church did his time in the death metal outfit END OF ALL, which later went on to become KILL WHITNEY DEAD. Newcomers Jesse Nunn and Carl Bensley both served in Los Angeles bands SCUM OF THE EARTH and SILENT CIVILIAN.
Commented McChesney: “I always thought we were unfairly lumped in with the ‘metalcore’ bands. I always thought we did much more musically and were a bit more sophisticated than your typical good-cop/bad-cop band. It takes balls to admit this, but yeah, we wrote a few songs that were mistakes. We made a push, half heartedly, for the mainstream. Yet I feel like a few bad choices don’t taint two albums that I love dearly.
“There were a million reasons to make a record like this. Also, sensing the death of that genre of metal, it made no sense to make a record that resembled it. I think we came out of it all, integrity intact.”
“The Autumn Offering” track listing:
01. Synapse
02. Born Dead
03. Exhale The Locusts
04. Fed To The Lions
05. Hessian Blade
06. Death Mask
07. Viral
08. Among Wolves
09. Bloodlust
10. Myriad Black
11. A Return To Ashes
The band will hit the road late summer/early fall with KITTIE, SILENT CIVILIAN and DESTROPHY as part of the “Haunting The Masses Tour”.
THE AUTUMN OFFERING‘s last album, “Requiem”, came out in June 2009 via Victory Records. The CD was recorded at AudioHammer Studios in Sanford, Florida

The Autumn Offering Streaming New Track “Born Dead” Online
The Autumn Offering have begun streaming their new track “Born Dead” online via their Myspace. The song is taken from their new self-titled album, which will see an August 31st release date through Victory. In related news, a video for “Born Dead” was recently filmed in Chicago, IL with director Eric Richter and will begin airing shortly. Beyond that, the group will hit the road with Kittie, Silent Civilian and Destrophy late this summer for the “Haunting The Masses Tour“, full details for which are still pending.
INFERNAEON’s New Album To Feature Guest Appearances By GWAR, HATE ETERNAL Members
Oderus Urungus (GWAR), Erik Rutan (HATE ETERNAL, MORBID ANGEL), John Zahner (SAVATAGE), Bill Hudson (COLDERA, CELLADOR, CIRCLE II CIRCLE, POWER QUEST) and John Slaughter (COLDERA, SKINDUSTRY) make guest appearances on “Genesis To Nemesis”, the new album from Floridian extreme metallers INFERNAEON. Due on August 31 via Prosthetic Records, the CD was recorded at Erik Rutan‘s Mana Recording Studios (GOATWHORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, HATE ETERNAL) in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer Brian Elliott.
“Genesis To Nemesis” track listing:
01. Into The N.O.X.
02. First of the Fallen
03. Lilith Ave. Satanas (feat. Bill Hudson, guest guitar solo)
04. Legacy of Kane (feat. Erik Rutan, guest vocals)
05. Ziasudra
06. Creeping Death (feat. Oderus Urungus, guest vocals)
07. The Scar of David
08. Immaculate Deception
09. Graven Image (feat. John Slaughter, guest guitar solo)
10. Revelations
Commented Oderus Urungus: “I am always pleased to help any friend of the dark lord, so when Brian, known Satanist, and his band of evil fucks contacted me about covering a METALLICA song, I said fine, as long as I got a ton of cash out of the deal.
“I must say that I am very fucking pleased with the way the track came out, but then again anything I do is fucking brilliant. But the track is fucking amazing. Sometimes the vocals don’t even sound like me. Someone told me that was because it was a duet. I don’t really know what that meant, so I rammed a pike through the dude’s head.”
INFERNAEON vocalist Brian Werner had the following to say regarding the recording process for the new CD, the album concept and Oderus Urungus‘ guest appearance: “Every bad thing possible was thrown at us and we had to eat some serious shit on a silver spoon and smile about it afterwards to get this done.
“We actually wrote almost an entire other album that we threw out and started from scratch after we trimmed the fat over a year ago, but it couldn’t be a better situation now.
“(Guitarists) Steven (Harger) and Taylor (Nordberg) did a fucking amazing job creating a sonic ‘image’ which complemented the entire album concept perfectly.
“The album itself is the entire story of the bible from beginning to end. However, it’s told historically accurately instead of the brain dead point of view the bible tries to portray. For example, the song ‘Ziasudra’ is the story of Noah and the flood. However, it’s about the Sumerian king, Ziasudra, who the Noah story was stolen from and perverted into this bullshit Christian mythology that they’re all so fucking stupid for believing in.
“Having Oderus on the album was a fucking dream come true!
“I’ve been a fucking GWAR fan since I was 10 years old, when I first heard ‘The Road Behind’.
“We had talked about doing a cover song for a long time and we really wanted to do something but do it our way. Since we tune to E standard, it’s difficult to pick something because most metal bands tune down, so we originally were going to do ‘Go To Hell’ by MEGADETH but it didn’t fit the album concept. Then I realized we didn’t have a song yet for the Moses portion of the Old Testament so we said, ‘Fuck it, let’s do ‘Creeping Death’ [by METALLICA], and it was just a perfect fit, musically and conceptually, and on top of that it turned out sounding just evil as fuck, especially with the keys.
“All in all, recording at Mana was an amazing experience as always; Brian (Elliott) and Erik (Rutan) are killer motherfuckers and always are intense to work with and always put forth 100% every time. Mix all the elements together with some Crowley-esque Thelema thrown in and I’m very proud to say that it turned out better then we could have expected!”
According to a press release, “Genesis To Nemesis” picks up where 2007′s “A Symphony of Suffering” (which Metal Hammer described as, “brave, unflinchingly inventive and jackhammer-heavy from beginning to end,”) left off, with a devastating mix of Floridian death metal and symphonic, sinister European black metal.
“Genesis To Nemesis” is the first recording with new guitarists Taylor Nordberg and Steven Harger, as well as bassist Mike Poggione.
